]]> Chobi Mela, the first festival of photography in Asia, is one of the most exciting organizations, initiated by Drik. The first Chobi Mela – International Festival of Photography was held on December 2000. It is the most demographically inclusive photo festival in the world and is held every two years in Bangladesh. The festival examines the dramatic shifts of image production, ownership and distribution brought on by new developments in the media landscape.

The festival brought together not only print and digital presentations that challenged the traditional perceptions of art by reaching out to the public through gallery and mobile touring exhibitions but also used new technologies to include global audience by live streaming on Drik TV. Drik ICT is the proud Technology Partner of this event.
